Kari the princess of darkness 12

In what remained of New York City the digimon and digidestanted savaged through the destruction for survivors and threatening those who are wounded. Tai was observing the current situation as he looked up at the still dark sky. The worlds that were full of live and colour was now drained of any life and beauty with them all tainted in darkness with its inhabitants having the same faith as the digital world. Tai looked across as he could see Ifritmon in his human form with his back leaning against some rubble looking at the same sight as him. Tai walked over to him as Ifritmon noticed him.

"So is there nothing we can do for those worlds?" Tai asked Ifritmon.

"I'm afraid not, and once the barriers break down again, there's nothing we can do for this one either" Ifritmon replied.

"I thought so, so there's nothing to do but sit back and wait to the end? Cause there's no way that's what I'm accepting" Tai told him. Ifritmon chuckled at this.

"That's what I like about you Tai, your never give up attitude, and your right were not going to, were not going to stop fighting until there's no one left standing" Ifritmon said as he punched a supporting gurter bending it.

"This isn't your usual behaviour" Tai noted.

"Well in our current situation, failing to protect the worlds, having my whole twisted family here and with all hope gone, I say I'll go out having fun and being free from responsibility for the first time in my life" Ifritmon said smiling  in a rare sight.
"I thought that was Luke responsibility to do?" Tai pointed out.

"Yeah well, I involved Luke so much in my live I might as well dive in a bit into his".

"Okay, that sounded strange".

"It really was, wasn't it?" Ifritmon started laughing. The two them laughed as it felt strange to Tai in their current surrounding.

"So what's game plan?" Tai Asked.

"All in good time, let's just take this moment and forget about all this." Ifritmon said closing his eyes. But something was still bugging Tai.

"Ifritmon? Tell me the truth about Shinobimon" Tai told him as Ifritmon snapped out of it and went back to being serous again.

"We told you everything already...." Ifritmon said.

"But you're not telling use the truth, I'm hearing too many bad things about him, from Azulongmon and Murlocmon" Tai shouted.

"So I'm guessing you already heard of the story of how he became the way he is? That must be why he's avoiding us all" Ifritmon said.

"Is it true then, between him and Murlocmon?" Tai asked worried.

"I'm afraid so".

"So the only reason he's helping us, is so we can rescue Kari and she can break his curse?" Tai said bluntly.

"No, he did in the past, back when you first became digidestanted, but I didn't want him involving you all in a war you're not a part of, which he understood completely. He helped use because it involved Murlocmon, and the world of darkness. He wasn't just protecting Kari; he was protecting all of us. It must have been great for him to met you all, due to the stories of his past nobody trust's him, not even Azulongmon or my brothers and father, but then the other day at the caves, you all befriended despite his appearance, true saving your life was a aim of trust but still blind truth brought you all together and when the truth was revealed you pushed his away. Tragic when you think about" Ifritmon said making Tai feel guilty.

"But what about his people, did he really betray them?" Tai asked.

"It was his biggest regret in his life; at the time he was bent on being a travelling mercenary, using his unique skills in combat to become a role model to the inhabitants. He wanted to be merciless and emotionless to any task he was asked to do to improve his reputation, to show that evil doers didn't rule the world and that the people could be safe and life in harmony. Soon Murlocmon heard of him and started to get warery, Murlocmon was the most feared and dangerous digimon in the world of darkness and now that a Hayabusamon was going around destroying all these dark digimon it could become strong enough to match Murlocmon. And if one Hayabusamon could then the all could. But then he thought he could use it to his advantage and destroy the Hayabusamon. Murlocmon confronted him and the two fought, with the outcome being Murlocmon losing. Shinobimon captured Murlocmon and brought him too their hidden base, but Murlocmon recovered from his wounds and broke free entering a killing rampage. Many of the Hayabusamon were destroyed in the surprise and commotion, and with their location found Murlocmon's army soon attacked destroying the village. Shinobimon was seen a traitor for bring Murlocmon and his army and was cursed" Ifritmon told him.

"But was their no one to take his side?" Tai wondered.

"No, Murlocmon spread the word across the world that soon spread to the digital world that Shinobimon was a traitor, he even spared his life just to frame him. Shinobimon went to the Digilord's to prove his innocence, but they wanted to destroy him on sight. Shinobimon went on a rampage destroying any digimon that crossed his path looking for Murlocmon for years" Ifritmon finished.  

"But why do you trust him that much?"Tai asked.

"When we first meet we joined together to look out for one another, I didn't know about him and he didn't know about me, and even as we got to know each other that didn't change a things. Even after I was warned about him I still stood with him.  At least the Digilord's sealed the inhabitants of the world darkness, sealing them away from the digital world never to harm anyone again. I managed to help Shinobimon escape this fate, but even then people just saw him as being evil and his powers that great saving him from the Digilord's powers. But soon after the war began, Shinobimon wanted to fight on our side but Azulongmon wouldn't allow it" Ifritmon explained.

"Since when did Shinobimon listen to Azulongmon?" This made Ifritmon laugh.

"Your right, we kept fighting through-out the war, he managed to gain the trust of several of the lords".

"And let me guess, they were soon destroyed after this?".

"I know what you're thinking, and that's what Azulongmon thought. But another betrayed us, at least Shinobimon was able to safe others, while I wasn't so lucky". Tai was speechless at this; in the few months he and others knew Ifritmon never has he spoke about his destruction. He knew that his body was destroyed in the war and that's why he has to reside in Luke to fight, but he never spoke about it. "Then the war ended on our favour, but for what? The near destruction of the digital world and the end of the Digilord's reign on the digital world".

"So is that when the digidestanted were needed?" Tai asked him hearing this story in the past.

"It was, there was no one left to defend the digital world, and because Azulongmon has to use a Digicore to create an artificial body for me to fight, Gennai and Azulongmon created the digivice's as a way for humans to allow digimon to digivolve faster in order to defend the digital world. However a cycle was now breaking out and was never ending. Eight children from your world are chosen and brought to the digital world when evil shown it's self. They would fight and defeat dark digimon the same way you all did when you first came, but they could never defeat Apocalymon for good, he would just return and repeat the cycle again. But then, the cycle was broken, fate made it so only seven children came, they fought in a weaker position then others before them, but it was from there disadvantage that they became stronger, more stronger than anyone before them. This led to the invasion of earth by Myotismon something that never happened. From this the eighth child was found and Myotismon was defeated. But from the time you all spend on the earth the dark masters took over the digital world. I was meant to be brought back to stop them but somehow the eight managed to defeat all four of them. And when the time came to defeat Apocalymon, they failed, yet it was from this failure they managed to gain the true powers of the digivice and crest's and defeated him once and for all bring peace to the digital world. Unfortunately as we know these change in event brought new forces to threaten the world but every time you all overcome each challenge. I myself must admit I was jealous that it was a group of kids that accomplished this when the strongest race of digimon destroyed themselves trying too, but in the few months we've spent together, I now know why" Ifritmon said smiling as he got up.

"We it's not over yet" Tai said as we walked with him.

"Your right but in case it is, Tai" Ifritmon stopped Tai and put out his right hand to him. "I apologise for ever doubting you, or our friends or any of the digidestanted and humans". Tai smiled as he shook Ifritmon's hand.

"No apology needed my friend" Tai said. They walked on as they could Yolei and Hawkmon running to them.

"Hey guys, the others are gathered up over here, come on" Yolei called over to them as they followed her. They could see the others gathered around in a circle with a fire burning in the centre eliminating the darkness. All of the Digidestanted and their partners there along with Ifritmon's father and brothers and too Ifritmon and Tai's surprise Azulongmon was with them.

"Azulongmon" Ifritmon said bowing to him. "How did you get here?" he asked.

"I used my powers to create a private portal here, I knew you would need my remaining Digicore if we are to have chance to defeat MaloMyotismon" Azulongmon told them.

"I'm afraid that it's more than MaloMyotismon we must defeat, I'm afraid this battle is more complicated then we seem" Baalmon told him.

"Wait what you mean more complicated?" Matt asked him.

"Well during my fight with Daemon I tried tapping into his mind to read his thoughts. When I first heard of this accuring I found it strange that after trying to stop MaloMyotismon's plans last year, Daemon was now working for him" Baalmon said.

"You mean he's using MaloMyotismon?" Ken asked.

"Him and Ladydevimon. It turns out that the events you have been noticing for the last few months are all connected and those two planned it all" Baalmon revealed as everyone was shocked hearing this. They all remembered the events that took place since defeating MaloMyotismon the first time.

"So what are their plans?" Izzy wondered.

"Daemon wanted the eternal powers of darkness, with Ladydevimon as his trusted servant. To achieve this he had several plans, the first was to use the powers of the dark spores to do this"

"Noriko, that's when she was attacked. Was he the one responsible?" Yolei said.

"He was, but he realised the spores alone won't work, he needed a host someone who could use their body to manifest this darkness spread it to the worlds".

"Someone like me you mean" Ken said. He recalled a few months back when he was brought to the world of darkness.

"Not just you, we remember Kyle" Ifritmon told them as everyone remembered the evil digidestanted from before.   

"When the current evil could not be controlled there last attempt was to taint the powers of light into darkness".  

"Leading to Kari" Tai said.

"Yes, with someone able to control the powers of darkness so advanced they could then breakdown they would of darkness and use its powers like the dark spores before to bring back MaloMyotismon. But the inhabitants wouldn't let them do that, they would be destroyed too so they must controlled with" Baalmon finished.

"Leading to Murlocmon and the inhabitants of the world of darkness to be released" A voice said as everyone turned to see Shinobimon standing there. Tai looked as everyone threw grim looks as Shinobimon walked forward. "But you are falling to the same gimmick that Murlocmon is pulling on MaloMyotismon and the others".

"And what would that be?" Diablomon asked approaching him.

"Only two things can defeat Murlocmon. A Hayabusamon and a Digimon of greater dark power. Right now MaloMyotismon and Hadesmon are the only ones who can defeat him, so those two are treats. Murlocmon might be working for MaloMyotismon but to his benefit, him and his army have taken over the digital world and the other worlds. Once he defeats MaloMyotismon he will control everything" Shinobimon finished.

"Who cares, like you said MaloMyotismon is stronger" Diablomon said as he grabbed him.

"Kari is the one who gives him his strength; He's planning on killing her and absorbing her dark powers!" Shinobimon told them as he pushed Diablomon away.

"Are you serious?" Tai shouted running to him.

"He's planning on killing her, just so he can be more powerful?" Davis asked him.

"He's not the only one. Going back to Daemon, when I read his mind I learned his plan, he too is planning on using Kari to defeat MaloMyotismon" Baalmon told them all. Everyone stopped for a while and realised how different they thought this situation was. Now they all realised if they managed to defeat MaloMyotismon it would just benefit another and the fight would go on.

"And Kari's a treat and everything. She too is planning on seizing control for herself. She plans on using her dark powers to create eternal peace in the worlds" Luke spoke up. This hit everyone but Tai the most. Now let alone having to deal with Daemon and Murlocmon, but now Kari is planning on being in control, meaning there going to be forced to confront her soon.

"Makes sense, Kari's one dossier was to have peace so no harm will ever come to a living thing, and how can there be war and conflict if she enslaves everything" Ifritmon commented.

"So we've gone from one tough digimon to possibly four?" Matt asked them.

"Three, MaloMyotismon only made Kari and the girl's digimon to make them harder to kill. Seeing how me and others are pretty merciless, it's harder to kill a digimon then a human" Ifritmon answered.

"You were planning on killing her!!!" TK shouted at him.

"If I knew things could be as bad as they are now then yes. But enough of the past, we need to focus on now; we've barely any time before they break through the barrier again. Once that happens we've got to gather are forces and have one last assault" Ifritmon told them before being cut over.

"Nooooooo!!!, no more fighting. Do you know how many have died today? They may not care about how many die, but I do and I'm sure there are others too how don't want any more of this" Christina screamed at in rage still holding her wounded digimon.

"Christina I know you haven't been in fighting for long and your against it, but were the only ones who can stop MaloMyotismon, if we fail then every living thing will be under his control. And I would prefer to die then to be a slave to him" TK said proudly as everyone was impressed of his words.

"Nicely said kid, nice how much you've grown. And Christina, these people and the digimon have enough and fallen will be revenged. I have a plan which will give total victory" Ifritmon told as everyone's moral picked up.

"Awesome what is it?" Tai asked.

"Can't tell you. Don't give that look I'm not pulling your chain, I can't tell any of you in case one of use get enslaved it'll ruin are efforts. All I ask is if we band together and trust each other till the end. So what about it?" Ifritmon called out as everyone cheered at this as they were ready. "Okay first phase, I need father and Shinobimon to work together" Suddenly the cheers broke down.

"The traitor with our father? he'll hand him over to MaloMyotismon the second he's away from us" Diablomon shouted.

"Listen to me, the underworld is where you guys and father all the dark digimon from being reborn in the digital world. All those powerful digimon from the ages are at our disposal. MaloMyotismon may have taken over, but its still father's world. Shinobimon is from the world of darkness so his presence will not be sensed by Murlocmon and his forces. Shinobimon takes out the guards at the temple, then father teleports in and takes back control. By the time the break through the barrier with their army, they'll be defenceless in the digital world from our army of dark digimon. Fighting Darkness with Darkness" Ifritmon explained.

"It's too risky. I'll sacrifice my body and the remaining Digicores to create a light so powerful it'll vanquish all the dark forces we face" Azulongmon told him.

"That'll only work on one world, MaloMyotismon has control of all worlds, now please trust me and Shinobimon he is the only one who can safe us" Ifritmon told them.

"He can't be trusted, if Murlocmon is found he would forget about your plan, use the Digicore I gave him to defeat him. So if he was honourable he would return it to me so we can have a chance of survival" Azulongmon argued.

"I already used the core to safe the lives of the digidestanted, humans and digimon. If it wasn't for me this will already be over. So I say screw you, so unless you're going to help us get to the underworld then why are you even here" Shinobimon said to Azulongmon putting him in his place. Azulongmon agreed as he used his powers to create a private portal to the underworld for shinobimon to the underworld. There he moved though the shadows to Hadesmon's temple which was heavily guarded. However the guards were barely any treat to him. Shinobimon used his ninja like skills to destroy Murlocmon's troops from behind without alerting any of the others before finally making it into the main chamber. There another portal was opened as Hadesmon came through. As he sat in his throne the ground began to shake as the dark look that has taken over was gone and replaced with Red as fire rose from the ground. Shinobimon could see the digimon roaming the area being returned to their original state as they attacked and destroyed any of the remaining enemy's so MaloMyotismon wasn't aware of their presentence.

"Good, I can sense the Underworld back in father's control, now everyone we must leave the human world and go to them" Ifritmon told the others.

"Wait we're going to abandon the world? I thought you were going to have use as distractions so Hadesmon's army can go to the digital world and attack" Tai asked him.

"I'm sorry but in order for this plan to work to how favour the best we must this world get taken over also" Ifritmon said as everyone began to argue before Azulongmon spoke.

"Digidestanted, do as he says, I think I see what he is planning. It'll be dangerous, but like you said it can repair all the damage that has been caused" Azulongmon said as the Digidestanted took one last look of their world before stepping into the portal with the digimon leaving.

About half an hour later, the barrier broke as MaloMyotismon's dark powers flooded into the planet quickly enslaving its inhabitants. Murlocmon and his army looked for any sign for the Digidestanted but with no success. Murlocmon knew they were planning something and won't just run away as he went back to report. At Myotismon's castle before he could say a word the castle shook violently as it was stuck by something. As he looked out from an opening in the wall he could see the area around the castle was now a war zone as his forces were attacking a large group of unknown digimon. He knew this was their plan, and this was going to be the final confrontation as he prepared himself.
